What is Home Search Assistance?

Perfect Housing works with a number of partners that provide Home Search Assistance to corporate clients and business professionals on a no-cure, no-pay basis. Their goal is to advise you on the market, understand  your requirements and to help you quickly find a suitable home at the best price. They solely represent your interests and do not represent, provide services to, or charge fees to property owners.

The structured Home Search Assistance process helps ensure that you are shown only the most relevant properties matching your criteria. Once you have given the go-ahead, the process moves at your pace.

The elements of the Home Search Assistance are:

  • Search profile
    • Understand your wishes with respect to living in The Netherlands
    • Explain and compare what different neighborhoods have to offer
    • Provide information on different prices by neighborhood and property type
    • Establish your search profile
  • Matching
    • Present to you a selection of properties from different property providers
    • Discuss the various alternatives, research and answer questions
    • Agree a short list of properties to view
  • Viewings
    • Arrange viewing schedule
    • Pick-up / drop-off at your place of work
    • Conduct viewings
    • Adjust your search profile if needed
  • Agree rental terms
    • Intoduce you as candidate tenant to owner (or owner's representaive)
    • Present your offer to the owner
    • Negotiate on your behalf
    • Confirm in writing your intention to rent subject to final agreement
  • Administration
    • Review the rental agreement in Dutch/English
    • Request you to sign contracts
    • Agree appointment for the check-in
    • Administer the first month's rent and agreed security deposit
    • Conduct a check-in on your behalf
    • Hand-over keys
    • Provide completed inspection report
  • Aftercare
    • Conduct satisfaction review within first month after check-in
    • Provide assisstance in connecting utilities
    • Remain available to answer questions
    • Check-out at end of tenancy on your behalf
    • Estimate use of metered utilities (electricity, gas, water)
    • Provide completed inspection report
    • Provide suppoer if Home Search Assistance is again required
